St. George resident stops break-in, suspect dies in Mesquite after high-speed chase

MESQUITE, Nev. — An observant neighbor stopped an alleged crime and police ensued on a high-speed chase on Saturday afternoon. The man running from police died after taking his own life, according to the St. George Police Department.

Charitable donor has vehicle ignite in St. George; fast response prevents building fire

ST. GEORGE — Fast response time is being credited with the prevention of fire spreading to a Deseret Industries building on Saturday when an elderly woman making a donation saw her vehicle go up in smoke and flames.
