Garage Doors Only is holding an ugly garage door contest, and one lucky homeowner will soon come home to a picturesque statement piece. Goodbye embarrassment, and hello jealous neighbors. Submit your entry today.

Kortney Henderson, who serves as the executive assistant for Garage Doors Only, said the company previously has run the ugly door contest once in Utah County and once in Southern Utah. They’re excited to bring the fun and satisfaction of transformation back to the greater St. George area, where they plan to make it a yearly tradition.

The first-prize winner will receive a new garage door and motor along with installation and labor. Second- and third-place winners also will receive prizes. Entries are limited to residential garage doors in Washington County.

“We’re taking all submissions of broken, damaged, ugly, beat-up doors in Washington County and letting the county vote on who has the ugliest, worst door,” Henderson said. “It’s a fun contest.”

If you or someone you know has an ugly garage door, send your name, images and contact information, including your home address, to [email protected] by March 6.  All image entries and details will be posted on Garage Doors Only’s Facebook page on March 7, and the photo with the most amount of likes will win. Voting ends on March 11.

Known for its edgy advertisements, Garage Doors Only was founded by James Bertschi in 1999, with a St. George location that opened in 2012. The business strives to provide hometown service and great pricing to every customer across the state of Utah as well as parts of Nevada. While they may not be the biggest garage door company in the state, they take pride in being the best of the little guys.

“We do everything garage door and nothing more,” Henderson said. “Remodels, new builds, owner-builders, contractors, commercial, residential, security, high-end, low-end, custom, motors, service, repair, rollup – we do it all.”

The company has contracts with most major developers in the area, which allows for top-level pricing. As a top-in-the-region Clopay dealer, customers can increase their curb appeal by choosing from a variety of modern and unique door designs. Customers also may receive free, no-obligation quotes for any garage door project, including a site check and measurements. Each consult includes a full spectrum of options to choose from based on budget.

“We guarantee that you will be happy,” the owner of Garage Doors Only, James Bertschi, said.

Garage Doors Only has been voted Best of Southern Utah four years in a row, and they’re shooting for their fifth year in 2023. See many of their garage doors installed in this year’s St. George Area Parade of Homes.

“We’re very involved in the community, especially being part of the Southern Utah Home Builders Association,” Henderson said. “And we’re also very accessible. Anyone can come into our office at any time.”

Garage Doors Only is devoted to providing great service with great products and great employees. They’re ready to serve Washington County and beyond.
