ZionScapes transforms mundane landscapes into masterpieces worth showing off. Whether customers are looking to enhance their yard with illuminating fire pits, barbecues, putting greens, rocks or pavers, the locally owned and operated company will work with their clients to bring their vision to life.

“We help homeowners use every square foot of their front and back yard,” owner/operator Tyler Meraz said.

Meraz guarantees that none of your space will be wasted. Thoughtfully designed outdoor living projects can transform an ordinary yard into a comfortable, functional and aesthetically pleasing extension of the home.

ZionScapes starts every project with a thorough consultation and free estimate. Meraz states that their goal “is to catch our customers’ vision while staying within their budget.”

ZionScapes offers virtually all aspects of hardscaping, including synthetic turf, putting greens, pavers, fire pits, fireplaces, bars and barbecues. More than 25 years of combined experience speaks for itself in every finished project.

“We know what works and what doesn’t work,” Meraz said. “We’ve been doing this long enough that we’ve learned through experiences, and now we’ve just perfected our skills.”

Meraz, who is originally from Mesa, Arizona, grew up in the landscaping business, spending every summer vacation working for his dad on numerous projects.

After returning home from his two-year LDS church mission, Meraz decided to continue his family’s legacy of providing quality landscaping and outdoor design services.

“There is a lot of growth happening in Southern Utah, and I’m excited to be a part of it,” he said. “The people are very friendly, and I enjoy being a part of this community.”

He launched ZionScapes a year and a half ago.

Meraz ensures constant communication through the entirety of each project. He personally calls every customer to get their project underway and keeps them updated throughout the entire process.

As the owner/operator, Meraz is at each job site, personally supervising to ensure that the client’s dreams and expectations of their yard are fulfilled.

If you are ready to change your landscaping but aren’t sure where to start, consider upgrading your existing sod to synthetic turf. Artificial grass saves homeowners money in the long run by virtually eliminating maintenance and water costs, Meraz said.

Recently, Washington County Water Conservancy District is giving water-efficient landscape rebates when converting from sod to artificial grass. When approved, these rebates can offer you a discount of up to $2 a square foot off your conversion. Contact ZionScapes today to learn more about the rebate and how they’re helping clients save money on their projects. Plus, you’ll be able to enjoy beautiful green grass all year long.

A barbecue and bar will elevate your backyard to become the destination for gatherings with friends and family. Fireplaces and fire pits will further enhance your experience, bringing new comforts from the inside of your home to your outdoor living space.

“We create areas to gather,” Meraz said. “After we’re done, customers are confident inviting people over to their home and showing it off.”

Every ZionScapes project is custom. If a homeowner can dream it up, they can design and create it.

“We have the expertise in hardscaping,” Meraz said. “I haven’t seen anyone else in St. George that can do the work we do.”
