ST. GEORGE —Next to the green grass, blooming flowers and sprouting water feature in a quiet neighborhood, something felt out of place.
That thing out of place was an upside-down two-door Mercedes-Benz SLK 300.
At approximately 11:49 a.m. on Sunday at 225 N. Valley View Drive, neighbors stood between two homes, each of which showed visual damage from the vehicle’s path in between.
Members of the St. George Police Department and St. George Fire Department assessed the damage while they waited for further assistance from fire trucks and tow vehicles.
“We had a female that came down the road,” Officer Groves with the St. George Police Department told St. George News. “Witnesses said highway speed. It struck an unoccupied car up here and then two houses, then ended up upside down between the buildings.”
Groves said the crash is under still investigation and could not comment on possible causes. The female driver was transported to the hospital for treatment.
“Her condition is conscious, breathing, we don’t believe serious injuries, but she was transported for medical follow-up,” Groves said.
The St. George Police Department, St. George Fire Department and Gold Cross Ambulance responded to the scene.
This report is based on statements from law enforcement and may not contain the full scope of findings.
