IVINS —A motorcycle crash on Highway 91 Sunday morning resulted in emergency response from multiple agencies, including a Nevada medical team.
Lance Haynie with the Santa Clara-Ivins Fire Department said at 11:09 a.m. on Sunday, Santa Clara-Ivins Fire & Rescue was called to a report of a single-vehicle motorcycle accident on Old Highway 91 near mile maker 7.
Mercy Air out of Mesquite, Nevada was requested due to the initial report of injuries and the crash location.
The Washington County Sheriff’s Office also responded and assisted the patient. The operator of the motorcycle was transported via ambulance to St. George Regional Hospital. Haynie said the cause of the crash is unknown at this time.
“Fortunately, the patient was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident or this could have been much worse,” Haynie said. “The patient is stable with minor injuries.”
