Come and join us at the Family Search Center on July 5 from 1:30 to 3 p.m. as we pay tribute to the colonists who convened in 1774 at Carpenters’ Hall in Philadelphia for the inaugural session of the Continental Congress. This historic assembly was organized to oppose Britain’s Coercive Acts, which the American colonists deemed “intolerable.”
The enthusiastic team at the Family Search Center is eager to assist you in discovering any family connections you might have to a signer of the Declaration of Independence or the U.S. Constitution.
While visiting, strike a pose in front of our Carpenters’ Hall backdrop, or hop aboard United We Pledge’s “Give Me Liberty” Bus for a unique historical adventure!
This event is sponsored by the Sons, Daughters & Children of the American Revolution, proud descendants of Revolutionary War Patriots.
