On Monday, Aug. 19, crews began night work to resurface northbound I-15 between Green Spring Drive (Exit 10) and Washington Parkway (Exit 13) in Washington City.

Utah Department of Transportation media relations said the work will begin at Exit 10 and move toward Exit 13.

During this time, drivers can expect reduced lanes with traffic shifted to the west after 7 p.m., Monday through Saturday, with Sunday work as needed.

All lanes are scheduled to reopen at 7 a.m. each morning, the construction alert said.

“Following the work on northbound I-15, crews will move to southbound I-15 to repeat the same process,” the advisory states. “The resurfacing on both sides of I-15 is anticipated to be completed by Sunday, Sept. 9.”

Construction crews are also installing exit signs and completing off-ramps for a new interchange that will allow travelers to exit I-15 onto Washington City’s Main Street. The complete freeway widening and interchange addition is expected to wrap up toward the end of 2024, Utah Department of Transportation officials said.
