This week, money and love planet Venus moves into the fixed fire sign Leo, where it will transit until Aug. 4. Taking on the bold and romantic qualities of Leo, the Goddess of Love influences us to be more generous, warmhearted, expressive, courageous and proud. We want to be noticed and to feel special.

Venus in Leo ignites a need for romance. We are more likely to crave attention, adoration and maybe even a little drama. This transit can be a fortuitous time for contests, parties, art, fashion, lotteries and sports.

Shortly after beginning this transit, Venus will oppose Pluto in Aquarius on Friday, July 12, at 8:11 a.m., increasing pressure on close relationships. But with Pluto moving retrograde, it’s likely the pressure will manifest internally rather than externally, which means that power imbalances, jealousy or matters of attraction can fester as mental obsessions. A crush developing now can feel all-consuming and may point to something within oneself that needs attention.

During the days around this opposition, it’s important to avoid becoming swept away by passionate inner feelings.
