Colorado City-Hildale City Police Lt. Mark Gower confirmed Shane Lonnie Speirs, 49, was found by officers in St. George Friday morning.
Speirs who had last been seen by family members on March 13 when he left his home in Hildale, was located in St. George by officers who found him safe and uninjured Gower said.
Spiers was last seen wearing a pink zip-up hoodie and dark-colored pants and had an Australian Shepherd mixed dog with him when he drove away in his gray 2012 Honda Pilot with Utah license plate V589YL, and the vehicle was towing a small enclosed utility trailer. The police department provided photos of the Honda that Speirs was driving, along with a photo of a trailer similar to the one that was connected to the SUV when he drove away.
This report is based on statements from court records, police or other responders and may not contain the full scope of findings. Persons arrested or charged are presumed innocent until found guilty in a court of law or as otherwise decided by a trier-of-fact.
Updated Friday, March 22, 9:15 p.m.: Confirms Speirs was found safe.
