“No weapon was seen by employees nor was one brandished by the male, but money was demanded by the suspect,” the St. George Police Department posted to Facebook. “He was able to get away with an undisclosed amount of money.”

At the scene at 700 South and River Road, multiple St. George police units responded as shoppers hustled along buying their wares wondering what the fuss was about. The America First Credit Union was closed as employees spoke to the police.

Officer Tiffany Mitchell told St. George News the investigation is still active and further information will be provided in the future.

On Dec. 16, 2021, America First Credit Union inside of Lin’s Market on South Mall Drive was robbed.

America First Credit Union is the fifth-largest credit union in membership in the country with 120 branches, including 10 in Southern Utah and northern Nevada.
