Savannah Vilaubi wins epic Epson Tour shootout at Copper Rock Golf Course

ST. GEORGE — Savannah Vilaubi set a new standard for excellence and excitement at Copper Rock Golf Course.

The golfer from Downey, California won the Epson Tour Copper Rock Championship in dramatic fashion, fending off Jenny Coleman and Therese Warner in a two-hole playoff to claim the trophy on a gorgeous Saturday in Hurricane.

The win was Vilaubi’s first on the Epson Tour, the official qualifying tour for the LPGA. She became the fifth golfer in the 2023 season to get their first Epson Tour win.

Two days ago Vilaubi set the course record at Copper Rock with a scorching 63 in the first round. She also set a new 54-hole tournament record at the venue with her 15-under performance over the weekend.

It was her first appearance in the championship. Vilaubi joins the list of champions at Copper Rock along with Dottie Ardina (2022) and Bailey Tardy (2021).
