‘We do whatever it takes’: Home Depot’s go-to company in St. George offers bathroom remodels

CONTRIBUTED CONTENT — A family-owned and operated plumbing business has been recognized as Home Depot’s go-to company for bathroom remodels in Southern Utah and Las Vegas, and they’re continuing to build their solid reputation, one shower transformation at a time.

“We continue to have a well-known, established plumbing company in the market,” said Bruce Thompson, the founder and CEO of Thompson Plumbing.

Recognized as Home Depot’s vendor partner for the last five years, Thompson Plumbing completes bathroom remodeling projects for the complete list of Home Depot stores in the Southern Utah and Las Vegas markets. Through that tenure, they’ve been recognized as the provider of the year.

“This year, we were just awarded another preferred vendor partner relationship in the Las Vegas market,” Thompson said. “These are exclusive, meaning if you walk into the stores and say I want to utilize Home Depot to do my bathroom remodeling, we will be the company that comes out and visits you exclusively.”

With 46 years of experience in the industry, Thompson Plumbing is now in its second generation of family ownership. Thompson, along with his wife, daughter and three sons are all heavily involved in the business.

“We strive to make the customer happy,” Thompson said. “We do whatever it takes to have the end result be a happy customer and a great product and installation. Taking care of the customer is No. 1. That’s our company culture.”

Thompson Plumbing’s bathroom remodeling division, Bath Planet, is a nationally recognized company that has the industry’s best warranty. It also is endorsed by the Good Housekeeping seal, which carries its own endorsement and warranty. Made from anti-microbial material, Thompson Plumbing can install the average shower in as little as one to two days.

“For a consumer, it’s a slam dunk product,” Thompson said. “This is without a doubt the best choice of product, and we represent that exclusively in our marketplace.”

The company is licensed to help customers in both Utah and Nevada with services that include water heaters, water softeners, faucets, toilets and more. For a complete bathroom transformation, additional options such as countertops and cabinets also are available.

Bathroom remodeling projects include the complete removal and replacement of showers and tubs, with a specialization in tub-to-shower conversions, walk-in bathtubs and the creation of safe shower environments. For aging customers or those with limited mobility, the addition of safety features like grab bars, seats and low-barrier floors can help restore independence and confidence.

“In today’s day, you don’t know if the guy coming out to talk to you is going to be the one swinging the hammer, and we are that company,” Thompson said. “We know what needs to happen and the best way to approach it.”

Thompson Plumbing is a dealer-direct manufacturer, which removes the middleman. Their team of professionals has the knowledge to accomplish the wishes of customers, whether the goal is to beautify a bathroom or make it more functional.

“We’re big enough to handle anything that comes at us, but we’re small enough to care about our customers, and that’s important to us,” Thompson said.
