Thompson Plumbing changes name but continues family tradition of honest, reliable service

CONTRIBUTED CONTENT — Customers across Southern Utah can continue to count on Bruce Thompson Plumbing as the business expands its service – and changes its name. The locally owned and operated business is now known as Thompson Plumbing to reflect the next generation of family involvement.

Thompson Plumbing is the name you have trusted for all your plumbing needs for over 25 years,” owner and founder Bruce Thompson said. “When you hire us, you’ll have peace of mind knowing that a fully licensed plumber will be assigned to your job. We use only top-rated products from trusted brands like Moen, Kohler, Delta, Bath Planet and American Standard.”

Thompson is still working with his sons, Josh and Jared, who are second-generation plumbers. When his boys were younger, they would tag along with him on various jobs.

“So as time went on, they felt that this was something of interest to them to continue to look into,” Thompson said.

His sons have worked for their father for quite a few years now and plan to make it their career. Thompson said they each play an invaluable role in the success of the company, from taking service calls in the office to training technicians out in the field.

“I’m still involved in the business,” he added. “I’m not retiring or anything like that. I’ve got myself involved in the day-to-day operation. All of us are a team, father and sons.”

Thompson said he was in a “very enjoyable time” in his career.

“Probably the best time in my career to be with my sons,” he said.

Thompson has been in the industry for 44 years and launched his own plumbing company in 1996. As the owner of Bath Planet of Southern Utah, he also offers bathroom remodels and walk-in bath installations.

Thompson Plumbing specializes in residential problem-related service work and strives to make every customer the top priority.

“The customer is No. 1. We want to position ourselves as a well-established, capable company to make sure that they get what they need taken care of,” Thompson said. “A customer can call and count on us. They know that they’ll get the right answers on the hard questions or the hard jobs. Our sole purpose of doing this is about providing this service.”

What sets Thompson Plumbing apart from the competition the company’s longevity and experience in the industry, he said. The firm services customers from as far north as Richfield to as far south as Mesquite, Nevada.

Thompson’s plumbers can tackle any job, from installing water heaters to dealing with an after-hours crisis. Other benefits of hiring the company include complimentary project estimates, durable products, flexible financing options and lifetime warranties.

“We’ve been providing Southern Utah with great service for decades,” Thompson said. “Give us a call. We’ll be right there.”
