Roadwork on Dixie Drive expected to last up to 2 months

ST. GEORGE — Roadwork on a section of Dixie Drive from Valley View Drive and Canyon View Drive kicks off this week.

The city of St. George posted an advisory over social media last Saturday stating the roadwork will begin Wednesday and is expected to last up to two months.

According to the advisory, contractors with be replacing asphalt and restricting travel on Dixie Drive through the work zone to a single lane in each direction.

Speed through the work zone also is reduced to 30 mph.

Motorists are encouraged to take alternate routes and expect delays if they need to travel through the construction zone.
