CEDAR CITY — Drivers sustained bumps and bruises in a three-car collision on North Main Street near Canyon View Middle School on Wednesday afternoon.
The collision involved a southbound red Mazda, northbound red Ford F-350 and southbound green and gray Chevy pickup, Cedar City Police officer Tyrell Crofts said.
The Mazda’s driver was braking to avoid other traffic when it was rear-ended by the Chevy and pushed into the front of the Ford, he said.
The collision was reported at approximately 2:55 p.m, said Crofts, adding that police were on the scene within minutes of receiving the call.
All occupants reportedly were wearing seat belts and no serious injuries were reported, he said, “just minor bumps and bruises.”
Two lanes, one northbound and one southbound, were closed after the crash and while the scene was cleared but otherwise traffic was flowing, Crofts said.
Crofts suggested that drivers should slow down and be aware of their surroundings to avoid similar collisions.
No citations were issued at the scene.
Gold Cross and the Cedar City Fire Department also responded to the call.
