ST. GEORGE — In an effort to inform and interact with community members, the City of St. George will conduct four Neighborhood Open Houses throughout 2022.
Open to the public, the first will be March 31 at the Sun River St. George Community Center, according to a news release. Each Neighborhood Open House will run 5-7 p.m.
Three other Neighborhood Open Houses are scheduled as follows:
- April 28 at Thunder Junction All Abilities Park
- Sept. 8 at Desert Color
- Oct. 13 at Vernon Worthen Park
“Neighborhood Open Houses provide a great opportunity for those who live and work in St. George to get better connected to our city,” Mayor Michele Randall said. “We have experts from every city department at these open houses, and they are thrilled to chat with members of the public and answer any questions they might have.”
Mayor Randall and members of the five-person City Council are expected to attend, the news release said. City departments and divisions that will be represented at the Neighborhood Open Houses include: public works, water, energy services, leisure services, police, fire, golf, human resources, economic development, budget, planning and zoning, finance and legal.
“The open houses are also a great way to find out more about some of our great events, including the St. George Marathon, the St. George Art Festival and Concert in the Park,” Randall added. “Make it a family affair, bring the kids and enjoy yourself.”
Refreshments will be served and some swag items available at each open house.
