Bella Vista Pools is your partner in creating the perfect backyard. Venturing beyond pool design, the company also installs patios, barbecues and the finishing touches, including landscaping.

“We’re not a typical pool builder. We think outside the box,” company president Bill McElhaney said. “If you can dream it, we can build it.”

Whether you’re envisioning a classic shape or a custom design, Bella Vista Pools brings the best to your backyard. The company adds splashes of fun and splendor with water features, rockscapes and even glass walls to create a dazzling infinity effect. Most projects are completed in 12 weeks or less.

“We’ve been referred to as the quickest pool builder in Utah,” McElhaney said. “We have an eye for detail, but we also like to move our projects along.”

McElhaney brought the business to St. George after building over 1,000 pools across Southern California. Decades of experience in the industry allow him to look at pool building differently. His personal promise is to provide customers with the best possible service, approaching every project as if it were his own backyard.

Bella Vista Pools makes every pool the centerpiece of a customer’s outdoor living space. Pools can be designed either to create a captivating focal point or to enhance existing views by blending into the surrounding landscape. Their designers will work with you to develop a plan that fits your unique vision.

Utah law allows contractors to collect as much as 50% of the total cost of a project as a deposit, which might lead to expensive problems down the road if you hire an unscrupulous company that doesn’t finish the job. Bella Vista Pools only requires a deposit of $1,000, giving customers peace of mind that they’re in good hands with McElhaney and his expert team.

McElhaney is a fully licensed pool builder in multiple states. He also worked as a special deputy inspector in California, where he was tasked with examining other contractors’ pools to ensure that gunite was properly installed and projects were built according to submitted plans.

Engineering is essential and installation is important, but McElhaney said that the most crucial step of successful pool building is soil testing. There’s no shortage of Southern Utah homeowners with horror stories about pool failures, mostly due to builders overlooking soil quality.

“It’s important to understand the soil conditions of where the pool is being built,” he added. “We put a lot of effort into checking the soil and making sure every pool has firm ground to sit on.”

Bella Vista Pools is committed to quality – quality materials, quality service and quality pools that will provide customers with years of enjoyment. McElhaney brings a deep understanding of pool engineering, design and building to every project, holding both employees and subcontractors to the highest standards of excellence.

During the initial design meeting, a pool expert will survey your backyard and discuss your interests and must-haves. Each pool design takes into account available space, views, colors and the customer’s goals. Will your pool be built to entertain, with water slides and a swim-up bar? Or to soothe and refresh, with gently flowing waterfalls and a grotto?

As more people look to their own backyards for an escape from today’s hectic world, swimming pools are evolving beyond a place to play and soak up the sunshine. Explore the possibilities of a backyard oasis built just for you with Bella Vista Pools.
