ST. GEORGE — Piles of lumber, tractors, workers walking around in hard hats — welcome to Southern Utah. The area’s growth is seemingly unstoppable, with new buildings and renovations springing up everywhere you look.
In this episode of “What’s Going There,” Southern Utah’s show about developments and businesses in the works, Tom Callister with Linx Commercial Real Estate explores the new arrivals to some of Washington City’s busiest intersections.

At the Green Spring Drive exit of I-15, which recently welcomed a Maverik gas station, construction is underway on Quick Quack Car Wash’s newest location. Right next door, Panera Bread will be making its Southern Utah debut. A Cyprus Credit Union branch and FiiZ Drinks soda shop are also reportedly joining the party.
The Washington Parkway exit is now home to Chipotle and Southern Utah’s first Seven Brothers Burgers location. Based in Hawaii and with numerous locations across the Beehive State, this family-owned business serves gourmet burgers with fresh, authentic ingredients. Utah First Credit Union is just across the street, where more restaurants will be coming soon.
Callister also stopped by the corner of Telegraph Street and 300 East, where Flavors, serving coffee and soda, is getting ready to open its doors. Nearby, DoughnutsVille is already welcoming customers.
“I’m so glad we had the opportunity to come over here and cover Washington,” Callister said. “Behind me shows the growth that we’re experiencing county-wide in Washington County. Hotels, apartments, houses, commercial, RV parks – we’re busting at the seams, and Washington’s just another example of that.”
