ST. GEORGE — A crash on Interstate 15 near Littlefield, Arizona, closed the northbound lanes for a short while Friday afternoon with authorities eventually able to open one of the lanes to travel until the scene was cleared and traffic was allowed to move ahead.
A crash was reported around mile 8 on the Arizona stretch of I-15 around 1:12 p.m. Arizona time. The incident initially closed both lanes with the right lane reopening around 1:50 p.m., according to an ADOT post on X (formerly Twitter).
A subsequent update declared that all lanes were open by 3:10 p.m.
Posts made to social media by passersby noted seeing a vehicle that had rolled into the median. However, details of the crash, its cause and any injuries involved have yet to be confirmed by authorities.
Southbound lanes were unaffected by the crash.
