Best man, woman and business named for upcoming Cedar City gala

CEDAR CITY — Cedar City is home to a number of distinctively unique and innovative businesses, individuals and organizations, according to a recent media release from Cedar City Chamber of Commerce.

The residents of Iron County serve, develop and actively contribute to help the community grow and aid those in their respective industries become successful and thrive.

Each year, community members nominate businesses, organizations and individuals to be recognized across 16 different categories. Nominations are then voted on by members of the Cedar City Chamber of Commerce to be celebrated at the Best of Cedar City Annual Awards Gala.

The Cedar City Chamber of Commerce recently announced its Best of Cedar City 2023 winners for their upcoming awards ceremony.

Those being honored for community service at this year’s gala include:

  • ​Educator of the Year: Rob Potter
  • ​​​​​​​Employer of the Year: BZI
  • ​Restaurant of the Year: Pizza Cart
  • ​​Organization of the Year: Vision Iron County
  • ​Young Citizen of the Year: Sadie Hinck
  • ​​​​Medical Professional of the Year: Josh Williams​
  • Innovative Business of the Year: RCS Rocket Motor Components
  • ​​​​​​Volunteer of the Year: Wendy Anderson
  • Customer Service of the Year: Lin’s Market
  • ​​​​Ambassador Spirit Award: Julie Padilla
  • Excellence in the Arts – in Memory of Fred C. Adams: Cedar City Children’s Musical Theatre

Award winners will be honored at a gala on March 7 at 6 p.m. in the Sharwan Smith Center Ballroom at Southern Utah University.
