WASHINGTON CITY — One off-road enthusiast was transported to the hospital after rolling his all-terrain vehicle near a city park on Tuesday night.
Washington City Police Lt. Kory Klotz said an adult man was driving on a dirt trail east of the city, near Shooting Star Park, when tried going up a steep embankment and the vehicle rolled over the driver, resulting in injury.
The injury was reported as a shoulder injury, but the status of the patient was unknown. The man was transported by Gold Cross Ambulance to St. George Regional Hospital.
The incident was reported to emergency dispatchers just after 6 p.m.
“There was a little confusion of his exact location,” Klotz said.
Emergency responders were able to locate the man using their sirens and a bullhorn, he noted. The scene was cleared at 6:58 p.m. Washington City Police, Washington City Fire and Rescue and Gold Cross Ambulance responded and assisted at the scene.
