CONTRIBUTED CONTENT — With homes as unique as the amenities, Southern Shores is set to provide beachside living in the desert. And you’ll want to be a part of it.

“We’re keeping the beach and desert vibe out here,” Immaculate Homes owner and builder Jason Christensen said. “The community is completely designed around that. On top of the amenities, the main focus is to provide great quality, custom homes. And where else are you going to have a beachfront property in Southern Utah?”

Located on 80 acres in the Hurricane Valley, Southern Shores is the first dedicated watersports community in Utah. Property owners and their guests can experience three lakes that provide a variety of recreation opportunities. Spend the day waterskiing, wakeboarding, surfing, paddleboarding, swimming, fishing, sunbathing or simply relaxing. It’s all available just steps from every owner’s front door.

The community of Southern Shores features 56 custom home sites, with 34 providing lakefront living alongside a private boathouse for year-round boat storage. Each of these homes will feature a dock with 5,850 feet of private frontage. Each home in the community will be built with energy and wind efficiency in mind.

Christensen said homes will take anywhere from six months to two years to build, and new home construction is set to begin within the next 30 days. Each home will be 100% custom, and no two homes will be the same. Homes will be designed around an active lifestyle, and a team of designers and architects will help every individual homeowner come up with a plan unique to them.

Property owners can build homes that fit their individual needs, such as a legacy home, which offers room for family and extended family to visit, or a modest home people can enjoy and live in for the rest of their lives.

Lots range from .42 acres to .80 acres, with access to power, sewer and culinary water. Amenities include a boating lake, a cable-pulled wakeboarding lake and a surf pool, along with parks, volleyball courts, pickleball courts and a tennis court.

The construction portion of all amenities has been completed, and a few bathrooms and pavilions are being finished. The surf lake and the cable lake are both full, and access is open to all property owners and their guests. The main boat lake is currently being filled. And the bonus? The lakes and surfing will be open year-round.

Christensen said he’s been building custom homes since 1997. Starting out as a finish carpenter, he now ensures that everything is done right, paying special attention to the fine details.

“Little details make a big difference,” Christensen said. “From the plans all the way through the finished work. And that’s what we do.”

“I think as over the top and unique as this project is, you can catch an idea of our vision along with the quality of work,” he said about Southern Shores. “Just look at the community and how it’s built and how it’s finished.”
