PAROWAN — A beloved Iron County school teacher who was found unresponsive in her Parowan home died of massive head trauma, according to newly-released court documents.

On Dec. 30, 2023, police were called to 488 W. Old Highway 91 in Parowan about 6:50 a.m. on a report that a man found his wife unresponsive.

Robin Whittle, 62, was taken to a local hospital in critical condition and was pronounced dead on Dec. 31, 2023. Parowan police said at the time  only that “the nature of the circumstances” surrounding her death was ongoing, but indicated “there is no reason to believe that there is a threat to the general public.”

But according to a search warrant affidavit filed in 5th District Court, police are “in search of a motive in this now aggravated murder investigation.”
