The crash was reported shortly after 8 p.m. A woman was driving a Honda minivan south on 3000 East, carrying three children, when she reportedly ran a red light, St. George Police public information officer Tiffany Mitchell told St. George News.

The Honda collided with a white Mercedes sedan, occupied by two juveniles and a driver, traveling west on 2000 South, Mitchell said.

The Mercedes came to a stop nearby ongoing roadwork, nearly missing an excavated ditch for utility work. Both cars were damaged to the extent they needed to be towed from the scene.

“Everyone complained of bumps and bruises, but no one was transported,” Mitchell said.

The Honda’s driver was cited for running a red light.

The St. George Fire Department and Gold Cross first responders also provided assistance.

This report is based on statements from court documents and law enforcement officials and may not contain the full scope of findings.
