Jan. 30, 1930-July 27, 2024

Beverly May Starks, age 94, of Washington, Utah, died peacefully on July 27, 2024. Beverly was born on Jan. 30, 1930 in Detroit, Michigan, to the late Harvey Robert and Lucy Maude (nee Butler) Heintz. Beverly was an only child and is survived by her four children, Robert and Pamela Starks of St. George, Utah; John and Jenness Starks of Seattle, Washington; William and Kathleen Starks of Washington, Utah; and Meera and Jeff Buckman of Shelburne, Vermont; 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Beverly lived in Michigan for her first 30 years where she attended Michigan State University. She married the love of her life, Jack Roger Starks, on Sept. 9, 1950. Beverly was a proud member of the P.E.O. Sisterhood and the Presbyterian Church for many years. After moving across the country twenty plus times they settled in Venice, Florida, for about 20 years. After raising her four loving children, Beverly and Jack spent many years traveling the world, often golfing the local courses. Sadly, after 70 years together, Jack died on Sept. 4, 2020.

Beverly had health issues the last several years and moved from Florida to Utah to be closer to her children. Many thanks to the wonderful staff at Ovation Assisted Living Center and Canyon Hospice who provided loving care to Beverly the past few years. At this time, services are private. Donations in Beverly’s memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
