ST. GEORGE — Silver Reef Brewing Co. is renowned for their unique handcrafted beers, but did you know they also serve fantastic food? In this episode of “What’s on the Menu,” host Sheldon Demke took his buddy Vin Cappiello to discover one of St. George’s hidden gems.
Silver Reef Brewing Co., Southern Utah’s largest craft brewery, opened their restaurant about a year ago to rave reviews. Silver Reef Craft & Kitchen offers a full menu of American classics that pair perfectly with their specialty cocktails, handcrafted mocktails and, of course, those award-winning beers.

Silver Reef Brewing Co. was recently honored at the 2024 World Beer Cup, the brewing industry’s most prestigious competition. They brought home a gold medal in the Smoke Beer category for their German Rauchbier Más Fuego and a bronze in Wood-and-Barrel-Aged Beer for their Smokin’ Barrel lager.
“We have all types of varieties, from the Guavalú, which is a Berliner Weisse sour, to the smoky Más Fuego to a coffee stout. We just have everything for everybody,” general manager Chelan Hall said. “The beer is the best part.”
Demke has visited Silver Reef Craft & Kitchen many times before, but he’s never had a chance to try their Margherita flatbread – and it didn’t disappoint. Roma tomatoes, mozzarella cheese, fresh basil and balsamic vinaigrette make for the perfect combination of sweet and salty. Meanwhile, Cappiello chowed down on their signature beer-battered fish and chips.
They also tried the BBQ Beer Burger, one of the most popular menu items. Loaded with a half-pound of beef, bacon, beer-laced barbecue sauce, white cheddar cheese and onion rings on a buttered and toasted brioche bun, it’s easy to see why.
Come for the food, leave with the beer. Silver Reef Brewing Co.’s retail shop is open seven days a week and ready to match you with the brew of your dreams.
