Vernon Le’Roy Brown

Aug. 3, 1945-May 21, 2024

Vernon Le’Roy Brown passed away on May 21, 2024, in St. George, Utah, surrounded by his family in his home. He was 78 years old. He was born on Aug. 3, 1945, in Sullivan, Indiana, Sullivan County.

Vern was an amazing husband, father, brother, grandfather, uncle and friend. A deeply devoted man of faith, he served as a pastor for 47 years, tirelessly ministering to others until his final days. Vern and his beloved wife Eunice were married on Aug. 5, 1966, in Phoenix, Arizona, and shared 57 years of marriage. She was his love, partner, confidant and best friend.

His greatest joy was helping others find a personal and authentic relationship with Jesus. Vern’s generous and compassionate spirit touched many lives, as he and his wife selflessly gave their time, talents and resources to those in need.

He is survived by his wife Eunice, his daughter and son-in-law Shauna and Marcus Zimmer, his son and daughter-in-law Dion and Michelle Brown, his grandchildren Josiah, Micaiah, Caleb and Jacob, as well as his sister and brother-in-law Shelly and Doug Koerner. He was preceded in death by his parents, R.W. and Edith Brown, his brothers Bill, Tom, Paul and his sister Minnie.

Vern loved to garden. It brought him peace and joy, allowing him to connect with nature and find solace in its beauty.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Monday, June 10, at 5 p.m. at Calvary Chapel St. George, Utah. Click here to access the livestream.
