Black Desert’s wellness offerings are being planned with the guidance of Sylvia Sepielli, a renowned spa consultant for resorts around the world. Sepielli has designed beautiful retreats at world-class hotels in Hawaii, Florida, Japan, Malaysia and more that celebrate the surrounding environment.

“You are very much going to see the dark of the lava, because that’s what’s embracing us,” Sepielli said. “But you go through different phases of transition to calming more and more and more, until you finally make your way through the passage and into the spa treatments.”

Set amid the striking natural landscape of Southern Utah, Black Desert’s wellness offerings reflect the duality of nature. As the heat of the blazing sun gives way to cool desert evenings, days filled with adventure are counterbalanced by restoration and relaxation at night.

Within the sanctuary of the spa, guests are invited to indulge in a restorative massage that melts away tension with each skilled touch. From the calming solace of the lava garden to the soothing warmth of the lava rock sauna, every detail will be meticulously crafted to rejuvenate body, mind and spirit.

“That play of yin and yang is happening throughout all the treatments and the experiences that we have,” Sepielli said.

The full scope of spa and wellness offerings, including a fitness center, will be opening in phases as progress continues at Black Desert.
