At approximately 3:49 p.m., law enforcement responded to a crash on 270 W. George Washington Boulevard after a silver 2009 Lexus RX had crashed through a wall, Washington City Police Lt. Kory Klotz told St. George News.

The woman was driving after donating plasma when she became dizzy and possibly lost consciousness, Klotz said.

“This caused her vehicle to veer off of the roadway and into the wall,” he said.

While the driver didn’t sustain any obvious injuries, Klotz said she was transported to the hospital via Gold Cross Ambulance for further evaluation. Her car was towed from the scene.

“Thankfully, seat belts and front air bag safety equipment in the vehicle were used (or) injuries may have been more severe,” he added. “Washington City Police would just like to remind the public to pull over and rest if feeling this way or ask for a ride from medical appointments that may hinder your driving abilities.”

The Washington City Fire Department also responded to the call.

This report is based on statements from police or other responders and may not contain the full scope of findings.
