After locating the woman who made the 911 call, officers later tracked down a male suspect and arrested him.

At approximately 3:30 p.m. on Friday, Iron County Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to a GPS location east of Cedar City.

“Once on the scene, all units continued up the trail to try and make contact with the female subject heard in the background of the 911 call,” states the probable cause statement filed in support of the man’s arrest. “Later a male subject’s voice was heard and hung up on dispatch.”

A Utah Highway Patrol trooper was first to locate the woman. She reported injuries sustained from her boyfriend when questioned about the emergency call.

Utah Department of Public Safety’s Star 8 helicopter was called in to assist in the search for the man, who was ultimately found by a law enforcement K-9 officer.

After invoking his right to remain silent at the scene, Jade Stucki, 25, was placed under arrest for aggravated assault, aggravated robbery and interruption of a communication device.

The arresting officer wrote in the probable cause statement that there was enough evidence collected to support enhancing the alleged assault and robbery charges to felonies, while asking the judge for a no-bail hold.

“Subject has history of running and fleeing from officers with assault charges,” the affidavit states.

After 8 p.m. on Friday evening, Stucki was booked into the Iron County Correctional Facility, where he awaits his initial court appearance.

This report is based on statements from court records, police or other responders and may not contain the full scope of findings. Persons arrested or charged are presumed innocent until found guilty in a court of law or as otherwise decided by a trier-of-fact.
