ST. GEORGE — The Washington City Police Department is seeking information that can help identify two individuals involved in a string of suspicious recent incidents that have impacted multiple small businesses.
Both suspects are wanted in connection with their involvement in suspected fraudulent activity reported at a number of Washington City businesses in recent weeks, according to information posted on the police department’s social media page.
Washington City Police Lt. Kory Klotz told St. George News the pair is suspected of making several fraudulent purchases totaling roughly $750 using what investigators suspect was a stolen credit card.
The individuals shown in the photos accompanying this report were last seen driving a white passenger car after leaving one of the stores where the suspicious purchases were made, according to police.
Klotz said the vehicle shown in the security footage is consistent with a Kia Optima.
Authorities are asking that anyone with information about the thefts or who can assist in identifying the suspects responsible contact the Washington City Police Department at 435-985-1515 and reference incident number 24z003273.
