Jimmy Reed Davis passed away Saturday, Feb. 17, 2024, in Hurricane, Utah. He was born March 10, 1955, in Tucson, Arizona, to Larry and Lois Davis. Jim married LuRenae McFarland on Dec. 19, 1980, in Las Vegas, Nevada.
His greatest accomplishments were his years of service working for Las Vegas Paving and his family. He loved everything outdoors, fishing, hunting and camping with the family. He loved trail rides.
Jim is survived by his wife LuRenae (McFarland) Davis; four children Kyle (Becca) Davis, Travis (Brittany) Davis, Shane (Becky) Davis, Ashley (Johnny) Powers; eight grandchildren Kylee and Reese Davis, Kaylaliana and Jaxson Powers, Shelby, Conrad and Declan Davis, Otto Davis. Brother Doyle (Lisa) Davis, Sister Cathy (Matt) Mathews, Sister Patty (Glen) Laughlin. The family would like to thank Haley, Nikki and Trish with Alliance Home Health Care. They went above and beyond in the care they provided for Jim and compassion for the family.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 2, at 11 a.m. at the Hurricane LDS Chapel located at 658 W. 1500 S., Hurricane, Utah. A viewing will be held prior to services from 10-10:45 a.m. at the same location. Interment will be held Monday, March 4, at 2 p.m. at Bunkers Memory Gardens Cemetery located at 7251 W. Lone Mountain Road, Las Vegas, Nevada. In lieu of flowers, the family requests living plants.
