Virginia Ann Caseman

June 24, 1950-Feb. 1, 2024

Virginia Caseman, 73, entered the presence of her Savior on Feb. 1, 2024, in St. George, Utah. She was born on June 24, 1950, in Niagara Falls, New York. She married her husband James Caseman in 1989, and they lived in Central, Utah, until his passing in December 2000. She was also preceded in death by her parents Santo and Maxine Virga, and her brother Glenn Virga. She is survived by her son Todd Bailey (Erica) and Brooke Hodge (Jeff) both of Las Vegas, Nevada. She dearly loved her three grandchildren Jacob, Sierra (Cody) and Rachel (Federico) all of St. George.

Virginia was an active member of Westside Baptist Church and enjoyed telling others about Jesus Christ and what He had done for her and what He could do for them. After losing Jim in 2000, Virginia began Westside’s HOPE Group (Helping Others through Prayer and Encouragement), which she was still leading at the time of her death. As a widow, she lovingly walked down this road of singleness with other ladies and offered great encouragement from God’s word along the way.

Virginia was employed at the Washington County Attorney’s office from 1995-2006 and then worked as a paralegal at Jensen Bayles from 2006 until her retirement in 2014.

Virginia loved the children of Westside and was a great supporter of Christian education. So that her legacy of loving and praying for the kids of Westside Baptist Church could continue, in lieu of flowers, Virginia asked that donations be made to Westside Christian School in St. George, Utah. Donations can be made with a check noted in memory of Virginia Caseman and sent to 2299 West 2000 North, St. George, UT 84770, or through the church’s online giving portal — click here.

Virginia’s life and love for the Lord will be honored on Friday, Feb. 9, at 1 p.m. in the Westside Baptist Church, 2299 West 2000 North, St. George, Utah. Her family will receive friends Friday, prior to services, from 11 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. at the church. Interment will be in Central Cemetery, Central, Utah.
