WASHINGTON CITY — A motorcyclist was injured as a result of a collision on Buena Vista Boulevard Saturday night.

Lt. Kory Klotz of the Washington City Police Department said a motorcyclist was traveling westbound when an eastbound Ford Escape turned left on Graham Manor, causing the motorcyclist to hit the brakes. The cyclist and the bike slid on the asphalt and the bike hit the Ford, says Klotz.

Klotz said the Ford driver said she did not see a headlight, though an eyewitness claimed that the bike did have its headlights on.

The driver of the motorcycle was transported to St. George Regional Hospital via ambulance.

Klotz said the woman driving the Ford was cited for failing to yield at a left turn.

This report is based on information provided by law enforcement and may not contain the full scope of findings.
