ST. GEORGE — Liquor stores in Southern Utah are joining a statewide effort to collect donations for local charitable organizations at every state liquor store throughout Utah.

Department of Alcoholic Beverage Services Director Tiffany Clason said in a news release issued about the effort that employees at each liquor store selected a charity to support. In Southern Utah, stores in Cedar City, Hurricane and both St. George locations are ready and waiting for patrons to leave a donation for those in need.

“The donation drive is a natural extension of the DABS’s service-first mission,” Clason said. “The DABS is proud to do our part by connecting resources to local organizations in the communities where stores are located, throughout Utah. I encourage shoppers to leave a donation and help Utahns in need when stopping by a store.”

Clason said that the donation drive extends beyond the holiday season, ending on Feb. 29, 2024. A complete list of stores’ donation drives is available on the department’s website.

Southern Utah stores are collecting for the following organizations:

Cedar City

  • Cedar City, 1580 S. Providence Center Dr.

Canyon Creek Services

  • Hurricane, 202 N. Foothill Caynon Dr.

Dove Center

  • St. George, 929 W. Sunset Blvd.

Switchpoint Emergency Food Pantry

  • St. George, 161 N. 900 E.

“I am grateful to our team at the DABS who jumped at this chance to serve Utahns. Store employees are gathering and delivering the donations, ensuring the items get to the charities intended,” Clason added.
