ST. GEORGE — Author, business owner and spokesperson Justin Prince says he has experienced financial struggles so intense that he felt it in every fiber of his being.
And after overcoming adversity, he’s made it his mission to help others go from where they are now to the person they were born to become.
Prince knows what it’s like to overcome the odds. So he’s taking his knowledge and using it to help others become the best versions of themselves through his new book “Be The One.”
“Things change when you realize ‘I’m the one,'” Prince said. “I’m the one that can change my family’s life forever. Abuse can stop with me, addiction can stop with me, financial principles we teach down through the generations can start with me. I’m the one that can make a difference.”
“Be The One” was written specifically for those who are striving, working, planning, praying and doing everything they can to “be the one” for their families — and for those who want to live a life worth remembering while making a real difference.
“You and I are kindred souls,” he said on his website. “Bound by our shared desire to make a positive impact on our world. I believe the lessons in these pages will inspire and empower you to do just that.”
Prince said the struggles that led to triumph first started in his childhood. Raised by a single mom, he moved 13 times in seven years. He had no college education or professional background and found himself flipping pizzas, working at a mall kiosk and working at odd construction jobs. Despite that, he always had big dreams and was determined to do something with his life.
He was first introduced to entrepreneurship when he was 25 and went full speed ahead. However, the business failed when the company he distributed products for went out of business.
Prince found himself financially back at square one.
“I was below zero financially,” he said. “Back on credit cards, backed on taxes. I felt hopeless.”
He and his wife had two kids with one on the way. Out of money, they moved into a loft inside his parents’ garage. He was 27, his kids were sleeping in the closet, he was working two part-time jobs and he had just started another business.
While driving down the freeway one day, he found himself talking to God. Bawling, he was ready to give up.
“I made two promises in that conversation if I ever became successful,” Prince said. “No. 1: I won’t ever forget what it feels like to struggle. You can feel it with every swallow, this heavy weight on your chest with every breath. Second: I would wear myself out helping others achieve their dreams and goals.”
Prince said he sold that business and went on to build five different multi-million dollar businesses. His current business, which he started 11 years ago, has done $2.5 billion in sales. He’s in charge of distribution and marketing while building teams worldwide. With a focus on leadership development, he loves helping others get to the next level of their life.
With his life’s highs and lows has come wisdom, and he’s keeping his own promise by helping other people achieve their dreams and full potential through“Be The One,” which launched Sept. 26. He’s combined over 20 years of wins and losses to create a tactical roadmap for others to “Be The One” today.
“The first thing is, it’s not ‘Become The One,’” he said. “It’s ‘Be The One,’ which means you are already the one. Your life matters. It has value, purpose and meaning. The book is designed to help you be the one, presently, and help you design and live an incredible life.”
Looking back over centuries of time, Prince noted the wins and losses, triumphs and tragedies that led to humanity’s existence.
“Success is an identification process,” he said. “If you see yourself as a loser, you won’t show up to play like a winner. If you see yourself as a winner you won’t put up with being a loser.”
