Fuller had a career-best 13 tackles against the Lumberjacks, including 11 solo stops and a tackle for loss as Utah Tech won its first-ever UAC game.
The Trailblazers rallied for a 37-31 comeback victory in the fourth quarter at Greater Zion Stadium.
On three of SFA’s four possessions during the final frame, Utah Tech’s defense forced a fumble and a punt and held on fourth down to regain possession.
The defense was good when it needed to be, holding the Lumberjacks to just 3 of 14 on third-down conversions. Syrus Webster made seven tackles while Brandy Okeke contributed six stops on defense.
Fuller, a 6-foot, 215-pound linebacker, is from Belleville, Illinois. Before coming to St. George, he played at New Mexico Highlands, UNLV and Arkansas-Monticello.
The Utah Tech senior is currently ranked third in the UAC in total tackles with 52, good for a rate of 8.7 tackles per game. He has recorded eight or more tackles in three of his six games this season, including two double-digit tackling performances.
Fuller has also registered 4.5 tackles for loss with one sack, along with two quarterback hurries and one fumble recovery.
