Carol Lyn Blackett Little

Carol Lyn Blackett Little, 85, passed away Sept. 21, 2023, surrounded by loved ones in Washington, Utah. She was born on Dec. 4, 1937, in Washington, to Grant Blackett and Celeste Iverson. As a child, Carol remembers going to the mountains with her family, where the air was thinner, and her dad could breathe better.

Carol graduated from Bell High School in 1956. She met Sammie Dale Little while at a church dance. Sam and Carol were married on June 28, 1957, in Bell, California, and sealed for time and all eternity in the Los Angeles Temple on March 19, 1960. They were blessed with four daughters and later adopted a son.

Carol worked for and retired from Dixie Regional Medical Center. While working there, she was one of the very first hostesses for the Jubilee of Trees. Sam passed away in 1995, and Carol remained a widow until her passing. She never even went on a date. Carol loved babies and cared for 13 foster babies until they found their forever families.

Carol is survived by her daughters, April Victorino, Karen (Roy) Miller, Janice (Jeff) Crowe; sister Jackie (Tom) Leeds; 18 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren; and 8 (almost 9) great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Grant and Celeste; husband Sam Little; daughter Pamela Brown; son Scott Little; sisters DiAnn Weber and Darwa (Dot) Tito; son-in-law Dennis Victorino; and great-great-grandson Hudson Karaim.

A viewing will be held on Sept. 29, 2023, at the LDS Chapel located at 272 South 700 W Hurricane, Utah, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Graveside services will follow at the Washington City Cemetery.
