PROVO — The Utah County Attorney’s Office announced Friday it is investigating the FBI shooting that resulted in the death of a Provo man on Aug. 9.
The shooting occurred about 6 a.m. that day, when FBI agents were attempting to serve an arrest warrant at the residence of Craig Robertson. The FBI said Robertson pointed a gun at the agents as they tried to take him into custody and he was shot and killed in the process.
An arrest warrant for Robertson claims he had been making threats on social media against President Joe Biden, who arrived in Utah just 10 hours after the shooting.
One such social media post from the day before the shooting reads: “Perhaps Utah will become famous this week as the place a sniper took out Biden the Marxist.”
