Snow Canyon 9, Pine View 0

At Pine View, the Snow Canyon Warriors scored a barrage of goals early on, taking a commanding 7-0 lead by halftime. The game was stopped 10 minutes into the second half due to the “mercy rule” taking effect with a lead of eight goals or more.

Snow Canyon senior Millie Warner scored a hat trick and now has 10 goals in five games so far this season. Teammate Lilly Wittwer, also a senior, added two goals while four other Warrior players each scored once.

The Warriors next face Desert Hills at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Snow Canyon, while the Panthers travel to Cedar City to face the Cedar Reds on Thursday at 4 p.m.

Cedar 2, Hurricane 1

At Hurricane, the Cedar Reds battled the Tigers to a 1-1 tie in the first half, with Cedar’s Kelsi Orton and Hurricane’s Lena Revee each netting a goal. In the second half, Cedar freshman Maddie Marriott found the back of the net for what proved to be the game-winner.

The Reds next play at home against Pine View on Thursday at 4 p.m., while Hurricane plays at Crimson Cliffs at 7:30 p.m.

Desert Hills 3, Dixie 0

At Desert Hills, senior Ellie Hendrix scored two goals and fellow senior Maya Dalley added another as the Thunder shut out the Dixie Flyers.

A trio of sophomores — Emery Simister, Kamri Yergensen and Peyton O’Brien — each recorded an assist for the Thunder, and sophomore goalkeeper Tess Peterson picked up the shutout.
