“It’s just going to be a lot of fun,” said Jessica Aikens, content creator for Sand Hollow Resort. “People will have a blast.”

This summertime spectacular, presented by Liberty Entertainment, will be held Monday, July 24, on Sand Hollow’s nine-hole links golf course. Starting at 5:30 p.m., attendees can grab a snack from any of the food trucks, including Charred Local Grill, Zeppe’s Italian Ice, Chicken Fangers, The Corndog Company, The Wicked Scone, Burrito Barn, El Jimador Mexican Food and Toastique. On-site beer and beverage sales will also be available through the resort.

The live music kicks off at 6 p.m. with The Reid Family Band, followed by BellView. Thompson Square is scheduled to take the stage at 8 p.m., getting audiences on their feet with hits like the No. 1 smash “If I Didn’t Have You,” the top 10 single “Everything I Shouldn’t Be Thinking About” and their newest release, “Without You.”

Everyone remembers where they were the first time they heard Thompson Square. It’s been over a decade since the husband-and-wife team of Keifer and Shawna Thompson exploded out of Nashville with their multiplatinum hit “Are You Gonna Kiss Me or Not,” and crowds remain hungry for more.

This Grammy-nominated duo has toured the world; won multiple ACM, ACA, CMA and CMT awards; appeared on “The Tonight Show,” “Today,” “CBS This Morning” and “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” as well as numerous primetime TV specials and awards shows; and shared the stage with country giants Luke Bryan, Darius Rucker, Jason Aldean and Lady A. Praised as “remarkable” by Taste of Country, “deeply personal and emotional” by Sounds Like Nashville and “vivacious” by Rolling Stone, their music has amassed nearly 1 billion collective streams.

Immediately after the concert, the skies over Sand Hollow will light up with a dazzling firework display.

General admission ticketholders are encouraged to bring folding chairs, and chairs also will be available to rent. No outside food or drink is allowed.

This is Sand Hollow Resort’s third annual Pioneer Day celebration, and Aikens said they’re excited to make it bigger and better every year.

“People can expect original talent and local bands every year,” she added.
