Gar Vincent Lundberg

Nov. 27, 1950-June 28, 2023

Gar Vincent Lundberg was born Nov. 27, 1950, in St. George, Utah, to Roma Hoyt and Loren Lundberg. He is survived by his daughter Jade and his three grandchildren Gavin, Rylee and Molly Jean and his sisters Lorene, Ora and Vivian of southern Utah. He is preceded in death by his sister Anita and his brother-in-law Jack. 

He was raised in St. George, went to Dixie High School and loved to play baseball. He was drafted to Vietnam out of high school. His high school years were spent working at the Dixie bottling company and later on in life, drove truck for Tropic Ice. He had a personality that could fill the entire room. He was beloved by so many. 

Gar was very, very talented. He made the most beautiful table, medicine bags, flutes, drums, knives, etc. He loved being a cowboy. 

He was a flagger for many years. Later on in life he had a fondness for the Native American culture and embraced every bit of it he could. He was a wonderful friend, father and grandfather. He is going to be missed and forever be a huge part of our lives and hearts. 

A Celebration of Life will be held at Spilsbury Mortuary on Saturday, July 8, at 10 a.m. Family and friends who are unable to attend are invited to click here to view the celebration online.
