Springdale Police Lt. J.J. Ray told St. George News the motorcyclist, who was wearing a helmet, was transported to St. George Regional Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Ray said the motorcyclist, who was traveling west on State Route 9 in Springdale at 2:30 p.m., reported that a group of cars in front of him suddenly slowed down. The driver of the Jeep was not injured.
“We have lots of traffic this time of year with people looking at the scenery, but I remind drivers to watch out in front of them while driving,” Ray said.
The Hurricane Valley Fire Department and ambulance assisted the Springdale Police Department. Ray said no citations had been issued.
This report is based on statements from police or other responders and may not contain the full scope of findings.
