PAGE, Ariz. — A mare and foal that had been stranded on a beach at Lake Powell in Navajo Canyon have been rescued. According to a National Park Service press release, Glen Canyon National Recreation Area staff had been monitoring and feeding the animals since June 7.

62-year-old Iron County man sentenced to at least 25 years in prison for child sex abuse

CEDAR CITY — A 62-year-old Iron County man was sentenced on Tuesday to a minimum of 25 years in prison for sexually molesting a child.

HAMILTON FORT — On Saturday morning, the sole occupant of a vehicle traveling southbound on Old Highway 91 south of Cedar City was pronounced dead after injuries sustained from a head-on collision.
