“We work with everything from cabinets to wood floors and furniture,” said Tom Winsor, Regional Leader with N-Hance. “As long as it’s wood, we do it.”

Now serving a wide area from Beaver to the Moapa Valley, N-Hance first opened its St. George location back in 2011. Part of a large franchise system, the Southern Utah branch is owned by Greg Russell, along with branches in Las Vegas and Flagstaff.

What exactly is wood refinishing?

“We completely clean, scuff and neutralize wood surfaces, then apply our product,” Winsor said. “We apply our paint and our finish, which gives it a new look and feel – really, new life! Our UV-cured finish, LightSpeed, is extremely durable and very resistant to chips, nicks, scratches, fades and other things. It’s really the outcome of the product that tells our story.”

Instead of taking items such as wood cabinets and only repainting them, N-Hance fully renews them before using their own finishing products, and they stand by their process. Every project is backed with a two-year warranty that covers scratches, chips or fades.

It all begins with a free in-home estimate. If the project is kitchen cabinet refinishing, the skilled workers at N-Hance remove all the drawer fronts and doors and transport them to their shop to be painted inside a paint booth. Because everything is sprayed, the result is a completely smooth finish without the appearance of brush or roll marks.

After the entire cabinet bases are cleaned, scuffed and sanded, the walls are taped from floor to ceiling, ensuring no possible chance of overspray. Once the protection is in place, the bases are painted on-site.

Each project is UV-cured and utilizes special nanotechnology, which means that after the finish is sprayed, it’s cured with a UV light. The nanotechnology then lines up to create a hard shell, locking everything in.

“We’re about 95% mess-free,” Winsor said. “We bring in large air scrubbers to filter the air as we spray, which reduces any residual paint dust to a minimum. Additionally, our products are all water-based with extremely low VOC’s, so there won’t be any annoying smells or toxic fumes.”

Give your space a whole new look in less than a week

Winsor said that for larger kitchens, the refinishing project is usually completed in roughly four days, which includes three days of taping, spraying and curing and about a half-day to a day of reinstallation. Smaller kitchens can be completed in roughly three days.

“It’s never going to be longer than a week,” he added.

For customers that would like to replace their cabinet doors altogether but don’t want to go through the mess or cost of ripping out their existing cabinets, N-Hance offers new wood door styles that replace existing doors. The results are cabinets with a brand-new feel without the additional cost and labor.

N-Hance also refinishes wood flooring, including many engineered wood floors. That process can include sanding, staining, sealing and then applying finish using their award-winning LightSpeed UV-cured finish, to performing a basic renewal, which consists of cleaning, burnishing, sealing and applying the LightSpeed finish – all while leaving the existing flooring in place.

In addition, N-Hance offers commercial-grade sealing services for granite countertops. The granite is cleaned and sealed, then buffed and polished, restoring the granite with a fresh look and taking out the need or expense of new countertops. With this process, some of the small pitting can also be filled.

Judith M., a local N-Hance customer, has solid oak cabinets in her 35-year-old home. She hired N-Hance to clean and refinish her laundry room and kitchen cabinets along with glazing the cabinets in the master bathroom.

“So pleased with the quality of their work, their professionalism and their responsiveness,” she said. “Without hesitation, I would recommend this company as an outstanding example of great results and amazing customer service.”

“This company was professional and had the project done in three days, and the price was extremely reasonable,” another customer, Mary S., said. “They even installed the new handles that made the cabinets look amazing. For some reason I thought it would cost more than double what I paid. If you’ve been thinking about giving your kitchen a facelift, I highly recommend N-Hance.”
