Owned by two sibling entrepreneurs, Kaden and Kyler Terry and their father Steve Terry, Bin Blasters of St. George specializes in blasting through stinky bins to reveal squeaky clean trash cans that smell like lavender. And no, they’re not joking.

“We’re just committed to having a clean community, and part of that is having clean garbage cans,” Kyler Terry said. “Let us push a few buttons and take care of it.”

Bin Blaster’s specialized trucks are designed to clean and deodorize outdoor garbage, recycling and yard/compost cans quickly and efficiently. They’re cleaning trash cans for communities, homeowners associations and businesses with a variety of trash can sizes including full-size dumpsters.

They’re also eco-friendly. All excess water is collected in a self-contained grey water holding tank on their truck, which is then dumped and recycled according to local regulations.

So how exactly does it work?

“We have a truck that goes around, picks up the garbage cans, places them upside down and cleans them with 200-degree water,” Kyler Terry said. “Then we spray disinfectant and a deodorizer afterward, a lavender that smells really good. The cans are then perfectly clean.”

Kaden Terry said he and his brother Kyler have always found creative ways to make money and have been “hustling” since they were young. One of their earliest entrepreneurial memories is selling necklaces during little league baseball by bulk-ordering necklaces from China and setting up a booth to sell during games.

When he was 13 and Kyler was 11, their dad owned an auto-lending company. At the time, he was paying people to detail his vehicles, but realized if his sons could do it, they could make extra money.

Initially, the brothers weren’t very motivated by the idea, but after their father gave them $370 to purchase necessary items like soaps and chemicals for the business, they decided to go all in.

“We just started pumping out cars and detailing them like crazy,” Kyler Terry said. “And we built that business enough to buy a nice extractor, then a detailing trailer. And it just grew.”

The brothers sold the detailing company and used the funds to begin tapping into buying and selling cars. While Kaden Terry was on his mission, he said Kyler “killed it” in the car business, selling exotic cars like Ferraris, McLarens, Mercedes, G Wagons and more.

In 2019, Steve Terry started Bin Blasters with a partner in Northern Utah. He ran the financial side, while his partner managed the day-to-day operations. After his business partner started a TikTok page that went viral, the partners mutually decided to franchise the business.

“We got licensed and registered in all 50 states,” Steve Terry said. “That was about a year and a half ago, and we just signed on our ninth location with three others in the process.”

The brothers and their father partnered together to open the St. George Bin Blasters franchise in St. George in October 2022, and together as a family, they’re excited to see where it goes.
