On Tuesday, July 4, the newly renovated Greater Zion Stadium at Utah Tech University will open up to one of the biggest celebrations and gatherings Southern Utah has ever seen. The event is estimated to have upwards of 20,000 attendees.

“Guys, I’m so excited about it,” said Amy Chesley, morning show co-host at 99.9 KONY Country. “Kelsea Ballerini is coming to St. George. This is huge.”

Ticket sales open Friday, April 21, at 10 a.m., and can be purchased on the Utah Tech University website. General Admission includes space on the field, the grass and the eastside bleachers. All seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis.

“This is a family-friendly show for all ages and is not about politics or division,” Canyon Media General Manager Ben Lindquist said. “This is about celebrating America and bringing the community together to celebrate the greatest nation on earth.”

Utah Tech Event Director Megan Church said during the seven years she’s been with the university she’s watched the university’s stadium transform from one set of bleachers to a full eastside with a completely redone track and field. The donations from Greater Zion along with contributions from the community have also led to a five-story grandstand with a variety of seating that plans to host VIP sponsors during the event.

The event pre-show will include a Tribute to America with live performances provided by United We Pledge. The crowd will then welcome Kelsea Ballerini to the stage. The conclusion of the event will include a choreographed firework show by the city of St. George that is set to be the city’s biggest firework show yet.

Brought to you by Intermountain Health, Litehouse Foods, The Lifetime Store, Cache Valley Bank, Ken Garff St. George Ford, Tint World, Closet Factory, DR Horton Homes, Big O Tires, Lighting FX, SkyWest Airlines and 99.9 KONY Country, the Fourth of July Celebration plans to be one for the books.
