CONTRIBUTED CONTENT — When was the last time you had a cinnamon roll? Not the supermarket ones from a pop-open can or the dry, half-stale offerings of a continental breakfast spread, but a warm and doughy roll layered with cinnamon, sugar and a cream cheese frosting that melts into every corner of the pastry. When was the last time you treated yourself to a Cinnabon?

While Cinnabon/Auntie Anne’s operates more than 1,200 locations in 48 countries and has cemented itself in pop culture, there hasn’t been a store in Southern Utah or the Virgin Valley. That was until January, when Eureka Casino Resort opened a new Cinnabon/Auntie Anne’s bakery and brought that cinnamon-y goodness closer to home.

To celebrate this new endeavor, and to share new yet familiar baked goodies with the community, Eureka is going to give one lucky person Auntie Anne’s pretzels for a year! Starting today, guests can swipe their player’s card at the kiosk every day for an entry into the virtual drawing barrel.

And while you’re there, enjoy the intoxicating aroma of Cinnabon or the soft, buttered saltiness of some pretzel bites.

On Wednesday, April 26, which just happens to be National Pretzel Day, the winner will be announced. They’ll enjoy salty, pillowy pretzels (or sweeten them up with a shake of the special Cinnabon blend cinnamon dust) for an entire year!

Aside from being widely recognized and well-liked by guests, one of the main reasons Eureka partnered with Cinnabon and Auntie Anne’s, according to corporate director of special projects Roo Arledge, is because their culture of charity work “fits perfectly with our employee-owned company’s core value of actively participating with and investing in community charities.”

Cinnabon funds schools and other educational organizations, as well as charitable activities in their respective communities, and has raised over $5 million to support finding a cure for childhood cancer.

Auntie Anne’s also is committed to reducing food waste. They partner with hunger relief organizations, after-school programs and have donated more than 16 million pretzel products through the Food Donation Connection.

So, while there are a lot of popular kiosk-style bakeries out there, the values behind Cinnabon and Auntie Anne’s align with the values and efforts that Eureka strives to cultivate throughout the Virgin Valley.

The Cinnabon & Auntie Anne’s Bakery Store is open at the Eureka seven days a week from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
