Lynn Glen Losee

Aug. 17, 1941-March 28, 2023

Lynn Glen Losee, 81, passed away on March 28, 2023, after an incredible life of teaching people how to truly hear themselves and others. He was a loving husband, father, brother and friend who will be deeply missed.

He was born in Delta, Utah, to Ruth and Glen Losee, and was also a high school graduate of the Utah School for the Deaf and Blind. He was an active church member holding multiple church callings, including a bishop of the Salt Lake Valley Deaf Ward as well as serving a mission at the Family History Library alongside his beautiful wife Rosie Losee.

Lynn was a unique and wise individual who taught his children and others around him how to “hear with silence.” He believed that we should pay attention not only to words and sounds but also to the energy we bring with us. Through quietly observing, watching and feeling, he taught others how to connect with each soul and truly listen.

Lynn embraced all of his senses to interact in the world around him. He showed us that not being able to hear could be a strength and that being quiet and still could be just as powerful as speaking and making noise. He was an excellent role model for how to be present in the moment and appreciate the beauty of life.

Lynn had a profound impact on those around him. His teachings on the power of silence and listening will be what is remembered. His love, wisdom and kindness will live on through his family and friends.

There were more than just five people to meet him in heaven and they included his mom and dad, grandbaby, aunts, uncles and in-laws.

Lynn is survived by his bride Rosie, brothers Lane and Dean, his sisters Linda, Donna and Annette, children Debbie (Mike), Tony (Maria), Kathy, Amy (Sean) Jenny (Tim), Elizabeth (Roger) Mark (Jenny) , 31 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
