Update Dec. 28, 6:30 a.m. Alert cancelled.

KSL reports that police say Even McConney, 13, of Layton, was found in a car with Aaron Zemen, 26, of Arizona at a gas station in Grand Island, Nebraska, at about 1:15 a.m.

When the alert was issued around 3:45 p.m. Tuesday, the alert reported that McConney might be in the company of Hunter Fox, age 25. However, authorities now say Fox was an alias used by Zemen online along with “Tadashi Kojima.”

Layton police say Zemen is in custody while McConney is being reunited with his family.

According to the alert, Evan communicated with Zemen over the internet and left his home late Monday night to meet with the man. Zemen and Evan are not related and police say they were heading back to Arizona from Texas.
